Probably the house is really old !I spent two days here !I chouldnt sleep well,for scratching every night !and then I found lots insects with blood in my bed!! Two days after the small swell still in that make me extremely uncomfortable

Rich breakfast, 10-15 minutes from train station and from center

The elevator doesn’t go to upper floors, the place (square) around the hostel is dirty and little bit noisy

What would you highlight about Hostel Galia

Breakfast is good. The staffs are kind.

The hotel itself has a quite lovely ambiance; however, there are many bars, cafes or restaurants around it, so it’s very noisy even past midnight. We ordered a superior twin room. There’s no AC in the room, and it was stifling! And the bathroom is tiny like using one when you’re on a plane, not very comfortable!

What would you highlight about Hostel Galia

The location wasn't too far walking distance from main attractions and train station.

No air con or fan, making it unbearable to sleep due to the heat. Loud live music playing from a nearby bar on a Monday until midnight and early in the morning there was some sort of boot sale in the square opposite. Therefore we couldn't open the windows but then the heat was unbelievable. The bathroom was miniscule.

Nice personel in the reception

I stayed one night in July and although I liked the accomodation it turned into a nightmare. Apparantly the place is full of bedbugs and they bit me in every part of my body. Within 24 hours I was full of itchy red bite marks and I looked like a monster for a week. I sent an email to the hostel Galia with the pictures to illustrate my complaint but they never reacted. My compliments for booking. com for dealing with my complaint. The hostel didnt even reply to them , when they tried to be in touch. Apparantly hostel Galia doesnt take the well- being of their customers very serious. My thought go out to all the people sleeping in the hostel and suffering the same result and also I fear the spreading of the bugs through the luggage to other hostels and home. They were also in my luggage!

I loved the beds with curtains in female dorms. The beds were really comfortable. The breakfast had a very large selection and very good.

The location didn’t seem that safe. It was loud out the front. I got bitten badly by mosquitos.

What would you highlight about Hostel Galia

Decent sized rooms for the price. Well maintained with a great selection at breakfast. Location is not too far from the heart of Brussels, with an awesome Cafe just across the road as well.

WiFi just didn't work at all unless you were downstairs. Narrow and steep staircase to the rooms was hard to manage with bags. The key had an unnecessarily large metal keyring attached to it.

The breakfast was fantastic, with lovely vintage decor and good space and WiFi for working late into the night. The bed was comfortable, the structure of the beds and lockers were ideal. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

The bathroom is below the room, and the windows are small or too high up for opening to allow ventilation. This results in mold in the bathroom, and the room having a strong stench of mold. I spent as much time as I could out of the room to avoid breathing in the damp and dank air. This can't be good for the health of your occupants. I hope you can do something about the air circulation and fresh incoming air, especially now with the summer heat wave! A rotating fan was available but it is an insufficient solution for this problem.

Bed was really comfy, however, their was leaking water when...

Bed was really comfy, however, their was leaking water when i stayed and it was coming up through the floor. Its probably fixed now. All in all the people working the desk were nice and the room was nice. Quirky spot next to a trash and treasure market. About 15 minute walk to the main areas.

I was roomed with a snorer... that's not their fault, i was just unlucky

Great place! I would stay again!

The staff were the best part. They made you feel sincerely welcome and were smiling and welcoming. They made you feel relaxed! I also loved that the beds had a a curtain for privacy, a shelf and light inside the bed area, and great spacious lockers. The breakfast was a very good breakfast!

The bathroom was a little small but sufficient. My room was not crowded but it might have been a problem if everyone was trying to use it.

What would you highlight about Hostel Galia

Unbelievably convenient and beautiful location, very close to almost everything.

Charming place, unbelievably good location. Small, yet very cozy room. Good, fresh and diverse food for breakfast. Not sparkling clean, yet pleasant and neat for the most part. A quite unique feeling of intimacy and home, even the less kind staff contributed rather to that than the usual discomfort. Definitely an experience in itself.

The cleaning lady moved my things around in the room in a way I did not understand, nor needed. The broken elevator and the very bad to no wi-fi did not seem to worry the owner too much, still, there is this indescribable feeling of comfort and intimacy that excuses almost everything. Or I just fell in love with the place and I'd find an excuse for everything.

Ok hostel/hotel in central location. Dorm rooms were ok. My stay was ruined by ‘snoring Arabs’ however was pleasant. Breakfast buffet was good. Friendly checkin staff

Rooms and beds were beautiful!

Rooms and beds were beautiful! I felt like in another century, but everything was clean and cozy :) Breakfast were amazing and staff were very kind and helpful.

Terrace between reception and rooms which were upstairs was quite dirty and unfurnished.

Enjoyful rest point!

Good location: near the city center. Very clean, bed is soft and comfortable. Relaxing when taking a shower. Staff are so helpful and friendly.

The first room we got was wet, and a fungus grown on one of...

The first room we got was wet, and a fungus grown on one of the walls in the corner. We changed the room with no problems, and the new one was ok. The lift goes up to the third floor only, so if you got a room on the fifth floor, be ready for journeys through corridors. It is interesting, actually )

Overpriced, outdated/bad condition, good croissants and location.

This hotel/hostel was way way overpriced for what it was. Being late booking I paid most 100€ for a private room that was small, had the tapestry on the walls falling off (and 'fixed' with clear tape that fell off), dirt in between wall panels and poor wifi. The location is good. Staff was so-so, not very service-minded. Being a hot day the room got very warm the first night and the second night there was a lot of noise from a band playing in the bar across the street. The breakfast wasn't fabulous with cheap-tasting juice although there was a selection of cold cuts and bread. Pastries and croissants were really good, but overall this hotel/hostel seems outdated and forgotten.

It’s very historical old building so don’t expect neat and luxury. Very kind staffs, loved unique style beds, delicious breakfast Especially I had lots of fun antique frea market from different countries.
